Rainbows & Smiles KZN Golf Day

“Rainbows and Smiles is thrilled to announce our 3rd annual golf day, to be held at Mount Edgecombe Golf Club on 16^th October 2024.  We are hoping that you will be willing to support this fundraising event.

Since our last golf day, we have poured our hearts into making a difference in the lives of these vulnerable children. The funds raised have enabled us to provide holistic and personalized care, addressing the emotional, psychological, and physical needs of families during their most challenging times. Heartbreakingly, this year has seen an increase in the need for funeral assistance, as we help families cover the costs related to saying goodbye to their precious children. We’ve also ensured that our families have access to nutritious food by providing food vouchers and parcels.

In the past year alone, we have supplied essential equipment such as a new stove, a new suction machine, a fridge, saturation monitors, and other critical items to help manage the children’s care. We collaborate closely with social workers to organize craft days, offering these children joyful and therapeutic experiences that provide a much-needed respite from their medical treatments.   

In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourages childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection. Rainbows and Smiles mobilise across racial boundaries, amongst the physically challenged, beyond class, religion, culture and gender and we are guided by democratic principles. Rainbows and Smiles principles include creating hope, smiles and relief for families and caregivers of children with cancer.

We are coming to you as a small, dedicated foundation, who need support from people like yourself to continue our vital work.  This year we go into our golf day without a title sponsor, but we are determined to raise the necessary funds to sustain KZN for the next year. 

ENTRANCE FEE:
R4 200 per 4-ball
R1 050 per player
