Join us for the Aqua Marine Mid Mile and help support children fighting cancer in a warm indoor pool right here in Gauteng.

All the Midmar vibes, without the cold water, strong currents, or toe-tickling fish.

Event Details

🗓 Date: Saturday, 7 February 2026
⌛ Time: 1pm to 5pm with swim slots throughout the afternoon
📍 Venue: Number 6 Livingstone Place, Douglasdale, Gauteng
💰 Entry Fee: R400

🏊 Pool: Indoor heated 25 metre pool
🎁 Goodie Bags: All swimmers will receive a goodie bag

Expect great music, a buzzing atmosphere, a coffee shop on site, and lekker people to spend the afternoon with.

You do not need to swim a mile to make a difference

Swim half a length, ten lengths, or all sixty-four.
Every single length counts.
One length is all it takes to help change the life of a child fighting cancer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to swim a mile?
No. Swim as much or as little as you like. Doggy paddle is absolutely welcome 👍

What time does it start?
We will swim in ten to twenty-minute waves from 1pm onwards, depending on how the day flows.

How long do I have to swim my lengths?
Take your time. We will aim to wrap up around 5pm so we can all grab some dinner 😂

What should I wear?
A swimsuit, please. Birthday suits are strongly discouraged. This is a family event 😳

Do I need a swimming cap?
If you have one, please bring it. If not, we may loan you one of our legendary Frilly Tannie caps.
Please do not go and buy one. Rather donate that money to Rainbows and Smiles 💛

Will there be food and drinks?
Yes. Our coffee shop will be open and in full swim ☕🍔

Can I bring my family?
Absolutely. The more the merrier.
